How to hell do you want me to add more sugar to it, than flour? Terrible recipe..

Flour 270g, baking soda, teaspoon of salt,(now stop that is the flour mixture add another bowl to do the rest!)226 grams of temperature butter, three quarters of granulate sugar (150g), 165g of light brown sugar or 3 quarters of it, 🎉 of vanilla (15ml), now mix the “flour mixture”, 1/2 chocolate chips, put in the freezer (not less than an hour and the more it will be in the freezer the much tastier it is), And chill, then get out the dough you made, and put the oven on 375 degrees, and then put them in the oven for for 10 to 12 minutes.

Do we measure the butter while it is hard and cold after it has come to room temperature. Can i just follow the weight written at the packaging or do i weigh when it is at room temperature and add on?

I like to put maple extract in mine instead of vanilla but only 1 1/2 tsp.
Came out prefect at 350F Degrees for about 11 minutes. (Top-middle rack)
I agree letting them chill makes it better and also letting them fully cool after cooking.

😂I made one batch lol owing instructions, but used a chicken egg. Second batch I used a duck egg and wow are they fluffy! Everyone will still eat them.

Idk what went wrong followed every instruction and they tasted kinda like soap but I washed and cleaned everything the day before. What did I do wrong
I have no scale and no battery or power equipment and pulled it off by hand. I dont know that my butter was "fluffed" properly, i did my best with a wooden spoon and rubber spatula until i ran out of stamina lol. Ive made your lofthouse cookies twice, hand tools only, even the icing, and they turned out perfect!
Make sure you guys pour measure your flour if you dont have a scale. Its better to error on the side of less than more. Sift if you have one.
Be patient with the butter when you’re creaming it. If you cant make it fluffy at least ensure that there are no chunks left from it being in stick form.
Patience again, when mixing the butter and sugar together. Keep turning and folding and mixing until you’re sure that its all the same color and no light streaks.
And patience a 3rd time when adding the egg and extract. Make sure its all one consistency and color.
Don’t be worried that the cookies look "raw" and are very delicate. Take them OUT of the oven when you are supposed to and dont try to touch them or move them off the baking tray for at least 15 mins.
With hand tools it takes me about 30 mins of prep to get the dough in for chilling. (Same for the lofthouse ones as well)
Dont be worried if you dont have any electric tools or a scale. Just be patient and careful.
